Our client, a foreign industrial company is searching for Area Sales Manager with a proven sales track record to mining and oil & gas clients to expand its presence in Russia and CIS.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a multi-local sales team distributed by regions, develop team:
- Support organization planning (right people versus market opportunities);
- Provide additional development for large projects;
- Provide additional coaching for the team including large projects sales and development where required;
- Consideration and control proposals and contracts;
- Animating the organization on a way of preparing proposals (playing a key role);
- Interacting with key customers at every stage of a project;
- Identify and develop market opportunities with a focus on direct projects, including new sectors and geographical areas:
- Ensure progression in existing segments (oil & gas) and in developing or new market segments (mining, manufacturing, events etc) and in new applications (NGG, drilling on gas, cogeneration, temperature control etc);
- Reinforce market presence in existing areas and develop new geographies;
- Construct Sales program for Russia and ensure tactical approach;
- Provide optimum interface:
- With operations (design, project management and delivery, servicing, identification of possible stand byes and extensions, fleet management) in the best interest of customer satisfaction and P&L achievements,
- With finance to meet all needed KPIs and debts collection;
- With HR to adapt people development programs;
- And with all other functions (QHSE, Legal & Commercial);
- Support and follow all sales / marketing tools (Sales, Medallia, Opportunity management tool), leverage them and ensure that they are fully adopted and updated; monitor and reanimate sales techniques;
- Monitoring marketing contributes to growth plans (focus on key industry events);
- Provide hands-on approach to maintain and expand customer base;
- Analyze market trends and expectations as well as sales activity in competitive trends and report same to marketing and to management; Sustain an awareness of marketplace opportunities and threats including competitive scope;
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in sales;
- Technical background (or experience of technical sales), knowledge of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferable;
- Basic financial knowledge to support complex tender / project offers;
- Direct/ project sales experience; knowledge of the procurement system of Russian State control entities (e.g. tender procedures);
- Fluent English;
- Communicative, articulate, good presentation skills;
- Impeccable business reputation & ethics;
- Higher education (Bachelors degree);
- Frequent travel in Russia and outside.
