Location - Dubai, UAE

The Information Security Specialist role will be part of the EMEA IS team. The role will support establishing and maintaining information security framework and its programs to ensure that ERG information assets are adequately protected.

Key responsibilities:

  • Directs an ongoing, proactive risk assessment program for all new and existing systems and ensure that effective controls to manage these risks are in place against the company's goals and business processes;
  • Develops and provide information security awareness training and education programs;
  • Implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements; evaluation security incidents;
  • Develop, configure and manage the data protection classification and data leakage prevention framework. Involve in the event and incident management process of ERG data leakage system and investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
  • Assist the IT team in performing risk assessment related to technology implementation:
    1. Perform research and coordination with Engineering to drive security;
    2. in-house developed software;
  • Perform research and recommendation of appropriate security protection products and services, such as log management, security event management, and intrusion detection.
  • Maintain and improve Policies/Standards/Procedures development, security awareness and information security architecture based on knowledge of best practices, regulatory requirements and specific needs of ERG.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor or equivalent

  • Minimum 5 years of experience

  • Proven hands-on IS or IT risk experience (5+ years of experience)

  • Demonstrated understanding of information security concepts, standards, practices, including but not limited to data leakage prevention solution. Previous experience with a DLP solution is required.
  • Develop, Configure and manage Data protection classification and policies.
  • Familiarity with SIEM, Penetration testing & Vulnerability Assessments, Identity & Privileged Access Management and/or Industrial Systems Security is preferable.
  • Good understanding of information security standards, directives or frameworks (i.e. ISO27001)
  • Knowledge of modern security technology trends and how they can be applied to address real security challenges.
  • Good understanding of security domains and their architecture.

  • English, Russian

    French (preferable)

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA, will be considered as a preference.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals
  • Proven problem solver with ability to provide in-depth analysis of complex problems, manage risk and provide timely and accurate decisions.
  • Knowledge of IT processes and controls and strong understanding of risk and control frameworks
  • Has or can develop good cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
