Docet TI is currently looking to hire a Senior Network Engineer to join our growing technology team! This is a hybrid role, where you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of networks including high performance low latency platforms. You will also be responsible for searching and working together with ourcontractors focused on communication networks, low-power and high-power electrical networks, etc. You will have the opportunity to work on low latency Robotics/IoT related projects.

What You'll Do:
• Participate in the engineering process as we design, build, and manage communication and electrical networks
• Design, implement, and upgrade WAN/LAN switching infrastructure, firewalls, and VPN
• Design and develop network monitoring and reporting tools
• Assist in the automating, deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and upgrades of our network systems
• Evaluates new technologies, methodologies and Information Technology trends to ensure that network infrastructure meets current and future needs.
• Review/develop/update design documents for constructability
• Material takeoffs
• Directs preparation of quantity listings of field purchased material and equipment. Initiates requisitions for field purchases and perform receipt inspections of materials as required.
• Scheduling work activities
• Monitoring equipment installation, planning for delivery of construction materials and equipment.

You Are:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of enterprise network experience
• Experience with network automation tools/platforms and a scripting language (i.e. Python, Bash, Shell, etc.)
• Proficiency in wired network as well as wireless (WiFi) networks
• Proficiency in testing procedures/safe practices re data loss and high data integrity
• Proficiency in network monitoring and performance management systems
• Proficiency in CAT 5/CAT3 cabling and multi/single node fiber optics
• Proficiency in network design and planning technologies
• Proficiency with specialized test equipment
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
• Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details
• Ability to support critical systems after hours, nights and weekends as needed
• Recent experience as an Electrical Field Engineer or Area Lead Electrical Field Engineer is preffered
• Ability to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.
• Knowledge of auxiliary systems (fire detection, suppression, HVAC, etc.)
